Can I Use DVI to VGA Adapter for Dual Monitors?

Hello,

I am pretty sure my setup does indeed support dual monitors, but the question is can I achieve this with the monitors I have? I am using the built in motherboard graphics card (ATI Radeon 3300):

And I have 2 of these monitors:

With the purchase of a DVI to VGA adapter would I be able to install the second Samsung monitor?

Thank you!

Matt.

Unfortunately dual monitors has to be supported with dual outputs. Are you looking at gaming at all or just want dual monitor support? Since you have a pci-e slot you could purchase a cheapy dual monitor graphics card if that's all you're looking for.

With more info I'll help you find one that'll work for your application.

Thank you for your reply.

The motherboard does indeed have 2 outputs, 1 VGA and 1 DVI. Are you saying these are not dual outputs, rather they are use one OR the other? Or did you not notice both of them?

Thank you,

Matt.

Oh! No, didn't notice them. In the pictures I wasn't able to see the dual outputs. Ok, well if you do take one of those from the DVI to VGA for a monitor they should allow you to have a dual monitor output.
