Gareth Active Member Aug 27, 2008 #5 On some motherboards, such as my old 754 motherboard with 1.5GB connectors, it wouldn't detect a SATAII drive, no matter how hard I tried. But on my Media PC, that detects a SATAII HDD on a SATA1 motherboard.
