Case usb issue

Hi. I was playing a game with a usb gamepad, when all of a sudden it just doesn't respond. I unplug and then replug it in to the same input but the result is the same with others as well; after about a minute or two the same thing happens again regardless of which of the 4 inputs are used on the front. Is it possible the front panel usb's have all died?

Make sure its still plugged in the motherboard. I've knocked out connections before by moving it.

Tried it on the motherboard's i/o and it still didn't recognize the device. Really strange cause this is a new controller. Second one i've fried in the last 2 months.
