Changing ISP

I am currently with AOL Gold Broadband but I am seriously looking at getting a new ISP. Which way is the best to go about signing up with a new ISP, should I cancel my account and then sign up with the new ISP, or do I sign up with the new ISP then cancel my AOL subscription. I have only changed ISP 2 times before and that was when I was on dial-up so I don't know if it is any different when you have a broadband connection??

Thanks,

I don't think it matters...but...ask your NEW ISP what to do, they will know.

When you're lookin for a new isp, make sure you compare the ratio of speed to price of the different providers. Also, make sure you're not signing up for a bandwidth limited account, unless you don't care.

Make sure you modem is compatible. It should be, no matter what but some ISP supply you with their own and it might cause some probs.
