computer restarts after nothing.

i am using windows vista premium. my computer often restarts on its own without me doing anything. i went to the settings and unchecked the box that says automatically restart in the advanced settings. now what do i do? is it hardware failure because everything seems to be working fine. core 2 duo 6600 3gb ram, nvidia 7600gt video card, 320gb hddrive, new creative audigy sound card. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a problem similar to that a while back. I had overclocked my graphics card using nvidia's software. It was stable through the programs tests. But after a couple of days the system started randomly rebooting. I returned the card to factory settings and system has been fine since. Long story short I am curious if you have overclocked your graphics card. Not sure if this helps, but just a possibility.
It may also be related to your sound card since I noticed you said it was new. Did the restarts begin after you installed it? May be a driver issue.
