Do you think there will be laptop quads in a year or so? I would like to upgrade my laptop some time soon.

physically or BIOS support? it looks like the heat sink comes off the cpu at least

Well, it actually depends what kind of cpu you already have, but chances are it wont physically fit, plus what incentive does the manufacturer have to support it with a bios update? So you can upgrade and prolong purchasing another notebook from them? Thats why notebooks usually have a limited range of bios upgrades..

Q9000= Socket P
T7500= Socket P

So physically it would fit, but chances are extremely high the bios wont support it, and also the fact the only place you'll find them is ebay for $2-300.

it just says newer cpu's and doesn't list them.
Fixes/Enhancements
------------------
1. Added support for Intel new processor.

on the dell site for the laptop they only list core 3 duos for cpu options.
