creating a VPN

to connect 3 sites with a subnetted ip and allow users to connect remotely.

is this just a router configuration or do you need a vpn server?

any help would be great cheers

Their are many Routers that also have a built in VPN server or you could create a VPN server with software for free (loads of open source options).

sounds like you want a IPSEC site to site vpn.

This must be done at the router level (you can have a server but then static routes must be setup .. not ideal)

You need a ipsec capable router at both sides.

excellent mate thats what i thought its just for a college project.
just making sure i was going along the right lines.
