my download speeds have really dropped to an all time low just recently. like right now i'm downloading a file at 6 kb/s. what could have happrned to cause this? no other devices are on to take up any bandwidth

First of all I would check your system for Spyware / Adware and viruses!

Is the connection constantly in use even when you are not browsing the Internet?

If you havent added anymore devices to the line i.e. telephones etc then sound as if your PC is eating the bandwidth or something rogue on the PC!
