E6550 overclocking: stuck at 2.6hgz??

I am overclocking a E6550 and hitting a wall at 2.6ghz. If I go past the mobo reverts the clock back to stock specs. I have a evga 650i in this machine. I have tried upping the cpu and FSB volts but it still won't work. any ideas? It is stable right now at 2.6ghz with temps at 46 under full load.

well your probably sol. my e6550 OCed to 3.5 on stock voltages and it just hit a wall. no matter how many volts i applied i couldnt get anything else out of it.
