Ethernet cable

hi there, im thinking of laying ethernet cable throughout the house or just being able to make custom lengths of cable. It's really not gonna matter, just remember if you get cat6 cable, you also need cat 6 connectors as there is a difference between the 2.

so the wiring code is either t568a or t568b as long as its the same on both ends right?

Todays standard is 568b but yes, either way will work as long as both ends are wired the same. You will create a crossover cable if you wire each end differently.
