cause i think the GPU will bottleneck the CPU @gaming...
so in that case take better GPU and maybe drop the CPU..;)

+1

Why don't you get an aftermarket cooler(such as Hyper 212) and overclock an i53570k?

Then spend the $150 you saved on a better GPU

And why do you want a sound card?

Will you be gaming, or something else? Because, a i7 is NOT needed for gaming, just a i5.The only advantage of a i7 is HT, which no games get a big advantage from. I mean you are talking about a 5 FPS difference over a i5 in gaming. If you are gaming, get a i5-3570k, and with the extra $100, get a GTX 570 or HD 6950.

Yes, drop down to an i5. If you want you can then buy an after-market cooler and overclock the CPU. For the HDD, I'd go for a Seagate or Western Digital one instead. That motherboard is pretty good, I normally recommend Gigabyte but Asus is still good :).

Whoa, wait now, S3. He may need a i7, and only need a GTS 450. If he will be rendering, useing CAD, he will get better resaults with a i7. So, what are you gonna be doing with this PC? Keep the samsung, samsung drives are by Seagate.

This doesn't look bad. I think it's better than what I've got right now. But hey mate, check out Sniper for motherboards. If I ever get the chance to upgrade my computer, I'll be looking for Sniper.

He did say it was for gaming. Get an i5 3570K and a decent cooler and overclock it, drop the GTS 450 (I had one, it's OK but not the best) and then get a Radeon HD 6850 or a HD 6870 with the money you saved on the CPU.

What you could even do is get a cheaper motherboard as well such as the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H and then spend even more money on the graphics card and get a GeForce GTX 560 Ti or a Radeon HD 6950 or something like that instead. The 3570K + Z77X-UD3H + GTX 560 Ti or 6950 would give you better results in gaming than a 3770K + Sabertooth Z77 + GTS 450 would. Right now you're spending too much on the CPU and motherboard and not enough on the graphics card; which is what really matters.

You don't need a sound card unless you've got really good speakers to go with it. Onboard sound is fine. Save the money and spend it elsewhere (graphics card).

A 750W is overkill for this system, go for a 600W or 650W PSU from a brand such as Corsair, XFX, Seasonic, PC P&C, OCZ, Antec etc. If you want to stick to the modular PSU, an OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W would be fine.

i5 3570K should be fine for light rendering especially once overclocked. A rendered a 2 hour long HD 1080p video on my overclocked 2500K in around 30-40 minutes.

yeh i was thinking about an i5 for him but ive not checked their recent range im behind times whats better than the i5 2500k now, the 3570k?. and yeh the money would be better spent on putting towards the graphics card i guess. oh btw you got ur raspberry pi yet vista?

Thanks everyone for replying. Just to clarify, the majority of my time will be spent gaming but I will be doing some rendering for long youtube videos. Thanks
