I have a 6 year old HP desktop running XP Pro. I had been using a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard from day one and this worked fine until recently.
A few days ago the mouse stopped responding and functioning properly. The pointer seemed as though it were trapped on the left side of the screen. When I moved the mouse, I could see some small fluttering/flashing of the pointer, but no meaningful movement. The keyboard works fine, so when I Restart the computer, the mouse works normally for a while. But, it always gets funny again before the end of the day.
I switched to a wired mouse, but the problem is the same.
Any thoughts on what might be going on and how to fix it?
Thanks,
Guy
