Thanks in Advance For Replying

I would get the board with 800mhz FSB and than get the 667mhz memory. All this means is you can upgrade your RAM later, otherwise you would be more limited in future upgrades.

Do you mean it supports processors with an FSB of 800Mhz, or that it can accept DDR2-800?

i mean that it can support processors with 800MHz

Im getting a Core 2 Duo 6400 and i dont want my ram to be way to slow for my processor

If it can only supports processors of 800Mhz, then why are you using a Core 2 Duo with a 1066Mhz FSB? Make sure your motherboard is compatible.

does that mean effective fsb?

or actual single-lane fsb speed?

sorta like a q6600 has "1066 fsb" but really, it's just 4x 266

Sorry i dont know the difference between effective and single lane fsb, i just know that my ram should not be way to slow, because it will not be able to keep up with the processor

That motherboard does support up to 1066Mhz FSB, and yes it does support the Core 2 Duo.

DDR2-667 RAM will be fine, and you can easily overclock it to DDR2-800 or beyond.

OMEGA, you should know better than to say that 1066 is the FSB, much less say that it is 1066Mhz :p :)

1066 is the FSB. 266Mhz is the Bus Speed.

Also, if you look at the detailed specs you will see that motherboard supports 533/800/1066.

Try and convince Praetor that..
I really dont care what Praetor thinks, but in the case of the Core 2 Duo, 1066Mhz is the FSB and 266Mhz is the Bus Speed.

Most likely you're just getting what Praetor said mixed up.
