I'm looking for new headphones, stumbled across a 5.1 set (4 speakers per cup) http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2928331&CatId=2382.
BIG question is that I have read mixed reviews about 5.1 headphones for gaming, and that I'm better off using a stereo headset with simulated surround sound.
Would i notice a difference if i bought the Turtle Beach - HPA2 , 5.1 headphones? Would it be better for playing shooters? I want the headphones strictly for gaming and watching some basic stuff on my pc. Also, i don't have a sound card, and would to like to avoid buying one, so im sticking to USB headphones.
Otherwise, if someone has experience with these http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2217094&CatId=2382 and can provide some gaming feedback.
