GT440 no display after driver install

I'm building another HTPC and i have all working untill i install the GPU GT440 1GB and install the drivers then it restarts and give post screen and windows logo then display goes dead. I have tried differend driver versions.

I tried another gpu and it works fine even the onboard works.

It might be trying to set your resolution too high. Does booting in to safe mode work?

Tried the card in another PC? It must just be a bad card.

Yeah boot to safe mode and check screen resolution and set it lower then what the monitor supports and then boot back into regular mode and see what happens.

got it working through the hdmi when i connected it to the tv. so all is well seing as i only want to use the hdmi.
