It works quite well to find coffee house type hotspots, or any type of hotspots, like walking down the street in some large cities.

It will not work if the router has security set like PKA or WEP ( typs of encryption) I have not tried them with a router with no broadcast of ssid.
I will assume it may not work for that either.

just will find friendlies

what will he be using it for ?
it will only find friendly wireless networks that have no security settings
where are you located ? i can only ship in the continental USA

he trys to get wifi all the time but he has no luck. i thought if he had a device that told him were he could use wifi he would be happy.

i'll tell her that.
