Hard drive keeps on Running

Hi need to know what's wrong with my Hard drive it keeps on running and so noisy, it slow down my use of computer from surfing to computing. Within on day hard drive will run noisy about maybe 4-5 times. This morning runs maybe 3 times , i usually re-start my computer then hard drive noise dies but sometimes it never dies that I can't use mt computer. I even run my Malwarebytes and Glary's Utilities but no problem of any virus. Any ideas that I can fix? thanks in advanced.

It's a hardware problem, so better back up all your data ASAP, for you will never know when that hard drive would stop working.

After you back up, consider checking the disk SMART status by using something like SpeedFan.

Also, how much free space do you have on that drive?
