Help!!!! Me Please

When i save a notepad file instead of having the icon of a notpad it has a printer icon. And when i have a BAT file the icon is differnt WHY is this and how can i change this.


i am running vista

I don't know about vista, but in the XP control panel there's a folder options Icon where you can change the properties for folders, maybe something similar in Vista?

thanks for your help but these i still cnt change the icon back to a notpad from there

Right click notepad file > properties > customize > choose picture ?
