How to make them both work

You mean so that while the headset is plugged in they both will play? im not sure, but you plug the headset into the "green" but that will cut the sound off to the speakers.

Yeah. I want to know how to make them both work so when I go to game or something, I don't have to go under my desk and unplug the speakers and plug in my headset.

Oh, right click the speaker down at the clock and under properties (on vista should be the same on XP) on the tabs at the top under "playback", you can disable/enable which sound device you want to use.

splitter is the answer, they're like $5 at a place that's expensive, sorry my brain is off right now can't think of a place...radio shack prolly under $5

Windows only allows either the rear audio jack OR the front "headphone" jack to be used at one time. Linux can use both. :p

I have a sound card.. did you not see my first post?

Anyhow, I think I'll just use my speakers headphone input, it doesn't sound too bad.
