You could have a look on eBay, search your laptop brand/model and see what the prices are.

Seeing as laptops aren't as customizable as desktops prices won't vary too much.

Seriously. HP had a known laundry list of problems with specific models in that series (as well as the dv9000's), and was forced to extend the warranty for an extra year.

There is a possible difference between what it is "worth", and what someone will pay for it. To me, that is all it is worth. To you it might be worth 150-200. All depends on who is buying when he is selling. I'd probably ask $200 if it was mine, but I wouldn't be terribly surprised if I ended up having to lower the price some.
