So would a NVIDIA with the Intel i7 be better than a ATI card?

Perferably the Geforce GTX 295 vs. ATI Radeon HD 4890

The 295 is better, mainly becuase it has 2 onboard cpu's. Oppose to the 4890's single. I think, dont quote me, but doesnt the 4890 compare to the 275?

The most powerful one ati surrently offers is the 4870 X2, its been out for some time, so they should be coming out with another beast pretty soon.:)

Thanks that helped me clear that up.

Intel i7 920 with Nvidia Geforce GTX 295 sound like a winner combo?

The second link you gave us has a copper block on it. Unless you're going liquid cooling, get the eVGA one.

That would be like buying an Extreme chip.

Unnecessary.

I'd like to see your data for this.

I can tell you, this Intel user will not be switching to AMD.

Well alright I'm just sharing some of what I heard about. I'm an intel user to But I'm just curious on those new tech stuffs.

Yep, the 4890 matches up well with the 275. The 295 is definitely the strongest.

it better be the strongest for what it cost

Lmao, I know seriously. But...I am trying to build a monster. Im also debating on waiting or not for the Killer Xeno Ultra. I was going to order the Killer M1 but saw that the Ultra is "Coming Soon". So im probly gona wait alittle on that

In other news, my Alienware M17 that I shipped back to Alienware was stolen from Fedex. Luckily, I have insurance covered on it so ill get a full refund for the stolen goods. So now everyones happy. The guy that stole my laptop; me for not having to pay the %15 restocking fee back to alienware; and Alienware because they get to keep the money spent for the laptop!
So Ill be expecting a $3300 check from Fedex here soon enough! Then its onto the custom build!

Now im back to deciding between the i7 920 and the AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition....overclock it to 4.3 GHZ :O

Ugh...gotta exchange my 750w for a 1000w. Dont think 750 will be enough power for this build. Someone said in a review for that EVGA GTX 295 graphics card you need atleast 630w for the card, plus my processor is 130w, etc. So need this thing to have its full potential. Hopefully the 750w doesnt get stolen when I ship it back

Anyone interested in buying a Corsair 750w? - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006&Tpk=corsair 750w

how much ya want for it?

The Corsair 750W is plenty for your rig... 630W is what is recommended for the ENTIRE SYSTEM on a GTX295. Unless you plan on running twin GTX295 then a 750W corsair is more than enough.

Are you sure? Im kind of worried. Im kind of a perfectionist/purist so I need everything to be %100

Those networking cards are probably what you would classify as needless spending my friend. They're flashy and all, but offer minimal increase in performance, especially for their cost. I personally would ignore them, not sure on others opinions. Also, 75-80% is a VERY hefty OC there. I wouldn't get too carried away with yourself as far as that goes. That means you're hitting somewhere around the 4.5Ghz mark on the i7 920, which unless you plan on using Liquid nitrogen to cool it, I doubt you'll hit. Even so, I doubt you'll have any troubles with whatever clock speeds you do get out of it, just saying don't expect 75%
