Is this a video card problem??

I have a GeForce 9400GT 1Gb card right now. every now and then my screen will just go black but my computer is still running but my video card is not(the fan isnt running).Once i i press my tower and let it shut down then turn it back on everything works fine. It might do this to me once every 2 or 3 days. Is it time for me to get a new video card??? If so can I get some recommendations on a new one? Id be open to spending a bit more money than I did on this one if it will last me longer. I dont do much high graphics stuff, maybe a game here and there, mostly web stuff and music.

Could either be a video card or a power supply issue, what power supply do you have?

its an xclio goodpower 500W

Xclio is supposed to be good, so i'm guessing it's a video card problem, since the fan isn't running and most likely overheating.

What kind of games do you play and whats your budget?

if i do play just a little COD but thats about it. mostly just web stuff. as far as budget goes id say somwhere around $80-$100.
