iTunes Question

I have recently restored my iPod so I could start new (Things were getting unorganized). The thing is, my iPod shows up in the devices tab, but I'm unable to play any music on it without disconnecting it first. I used to be able to play my iPod music that was on my iPod through my computer, and now I can't. Any ideas as to why this may be?

Speaking of iTunes...they charged my debit card 4 unauthorized charges:

...I don't even own a iPod. Beware.
