Keyboard locked

Hi all

I am having an Acer 5210 laptop, yesterday when i was trying boot it i found the the keyboard is not working i tried everything, taking battery out, restarting, checking in Device manager....but no use

can anyone have a solution

if you plug in,,,say a usb desktop keyboard will that work
