Ok im downloading like 6 files from the internet and it starts lagging.. And the cpu usage is only like 5-10 percent and the memory is only taking up 412 of the 512 mb's that i have. Is this becuase of the hard drive?

could be. maybe you have a really slow or fragmented hard drive. post ur specs sometime.

Ya, well, when you download from the net, you use up available bandwidth ... which has a tendancy to introduce lag...
