LCD HP 1502 Monitor Flickers On And Off?

Hi, I have a LCD 1502 Monitor, Well I am on my monitor right now but it took for ever trying to make it work turning it off and on and unplugging it. Finally it started to work again but I can not turn it off or it will flicker on and off again, I can not play a game like counter strike source or something that isnt windowed or it will flicker. I really dont no what to do! I dont have another monitor and this monitor was a alot of money. Can somone help me out here?

Make sure the refresh rate is the correct one for the monitor, try using vertical sync in games, update graphics card drivers, check monitor connection or new lead, ermm, check monitor with another computer, cant think of much else
