Lian Li case

I am looking for a new case (Mini Atx) for my new build and found this case by Lian Li
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112218

The only thing I don't like about the case is its' dimension L19.29" x W8.27" x H15.00".

The Length of 19.29 inches is way to long, even longer then my Antec 900. It would be perfect if the length were somewhere between 14 to 15 inches.

Does anybody know of a case that has same aluminum finish with the dimension that I am looking for?

I been looking around on the internet for 3 days now and have not found any.

There are few other cases such as this one, but I hated the inside layout.

Any and all help are appreciated.

This Antec has good reviews and is fairly small (16.50" x 7.80" x 16.60"): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129072&Tpk=11-129-072

It comes with a 380W Antec psu (which probably isn't that great, but might be good enough for your purposes) for a current total price of $79.99 - with free shipping.

This HEC case is pretty cheap, but looks decent and is small (17.00" x 7.10" x 14.80"):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811121039 - silver version
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811121003 - black version

Here's a different Lian Li that is a tiny bit smaller, but still way too long
($20 cheaper though than your reference case at $79.99 + $16.99 Shipping): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112220

Here's small (15.75" x 7.28" x 14.37") Cooler Master - looks decent, no reviews yet: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119193&Tpk=Black%20Cooler%20Master%20Elite%20341

[edit3] daisymtc found the black version of this one in the following post; it appears to be fairly close to what you want.
Silver colored SilverStone on sale for $89.99 at directron.com.
(378 mm (L) x 195 mm (W) x 381 mm (H) or 14.88" x 7.68" x 15")
http://www.directron.com/tj08s.html

The technical term for the size you want is "Micro ATX" or "Micro Tower" or "Mini Tower"

The silverstone is what i was about to recommend, but daisymtc beat me to it. Its an excellent case for a microatx build.

Have you looked at the Antec Mini P180? It's white but, you could always paint it

If I ever do a mini build I would buy this case

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129044

Thanks everyone. I though about the Antec Mini p180 but though it is till a bit to tall and to wide. I am looking for a case that is a lot smaller than my Antec 900

The HEC case looks nice but it does not have the Aluminum finish.

The SilverStone TJ08 is the next best thing compare to LIAN LI PC-A05NB. It is just the right size and has a normal inside layout. The only problem is it has two 3.5 bays and I don't know what to do with the other one. It would looks weird to just leave it alone.
Do you have ATX mobo or mATX mobo?

If you want 14" - 15" length, you need to have mATX mobo

If you like simple back case, how about this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163058

Or cube case?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112222

I am going to do some more search on the The SilverStone TJ08, again wish it had only one 2 3.5 bays on the front. :(

no cube for me. They look to weird. XD

What about the Lian Li Lancool?

Which one are you refering to ScottAlot?

And also thanks WhiteTree and bomberboysk for your input.

I've got the silverstone case, built a rig for my gf in one, you won't be disappointed, it's a great case :)

I did see some reviews on Newegg that mentioned that the optical drive and psu could be a tight fit on the Silverstone. Apparently some of the older optical drives were made deeper? Just something to take into account.

The older drives with IDE interface are larger then the Sata drives nowadays.

I have the Sata drive so I should be fine.

Thanks for the input

The TJ08 is pretty much identical (chassis) to the CM Elite 340/341, except it cost a whole lot more. Then again it has the outside looks that you were going for, at least the front panel does.

Hope it works out for you. The steel chassis would be a let down for me though, if I were originally looking at all aluminum Lian Li's.

I did see the CM Elite case but they have the cheap plastic look that I know I will regret getting later.

The TJ08 was a compromise for me since it is not fully aluminum and there are two 3.5" bay at the front rather than 1. Now I need to figure out what to put in the other 3.5 bay.

I like the Micro ATX cases by Lian Li for their aluminum finish and their micro ATX form factor, but their internal layout and the Length of the desktop was not something I wanted to compromise.

Having the PSU on the front, the hot air will be blowing into my eyes for as long as I sit in front of my desktop. My contacts irritate me as is, if there is hot air blowing into my eyes, I don't think I will be able to wear it at all.

I wish LIAN LI had made their PC-B10 in Micro ATX form......

By Lian Li Lancool, I was just referring to all of them... whichever one suits you.

I checked them out before I order the Silverstone. Was not sure which one you were referring to since I could not find one in micro ATX form factor.

The Mid towers are a big to big for me. I have the Antec 900 and it was ok for a period but I grow to dislike it over time. :(
