Googling "Linux" should've come up with plenty of results. But yes, ubuntu is what I'd recommend for new linux users, although seeing as how you had a hard time even FINDING it, maybe you should reconsider your options :p

Yeah,
Linux is a complected OS that requires a quite a bit of knowledge about computers.

Installing it is.... Using it isn't something that a noob should use...

it's just something you have to get used to, ubuntu's learning curve from windows isn't bad at all. there's no other way to learn how to use it other than actually using it. you have to start somewhere.
