lost sound, plug in and play isnt working

i was watching a movie last night fell asleep woke up to this error every time i tried to play sound "Error 193: 0xc1" and "<Failed to Read Description. Error Code: 1006 > " this was all when i typed in "sound" into my control panel then went to services to see what the problem is plz help!!!!

Go to, computer - system properties - device manager

Do you have any yellow triangles in device manager ?

yes there was 2 both on "other devices" "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller"

It sounds like your have missing drivers, what motherboard do you have ?

I would start by downloading and reinstalling the drivers for your motherboard.

Select what ever operating system you are using.
