Well to be fair, if the US government came after MS with a warrant or subpoena for data regarding anything in the Patriot Act, I doubt they would do anything other than turn cheek and give it up.

That's right. The government uses Windows and related M$ products. They'd be the first to give in. We're not going to have the privacy we want on the internet. It's sad but true.

Heh, I don't care, it's not like I'm searching how to build a nuke or other illegal activities on google anyways.

I would only agree with this sort of transparency if we could see exactly what google was doing with the data. If they posted everything they did with the data they collected on people's searches, then I would not feel bad since I could look up what they were doing with it.

Eric Schmidt is slowly becoming a D-bag.
