So I need a computer desktop that I can buy with 300-350 dollars, and I need a graphics card that I can buy within 150-180 dollars. The computer I will only be using to play games so I would like a decent amount of ram, I think that 4gb would be okay but I could be wrong feel free to correct me, I would like to be able to upgrade the desktop with the better graphics.card and te desktop I have now has 2gb of ram and a nvidia 6150se graphics card but the motherboard gets in the way of having a better graphics card installed so I need a new desktop please help of you can think of anything as I dont know where to look

To summarize : Budget-$550, desktop and graphics card that can run skyrim/newer computer games decently, if you can suggest anything I would be very grateful thx again -Oblivion1231

What country are you in?

that and are you open to building, it's the best way to go. any oem computer means you'll have to get a power supply and graphics card if you want to do anything with it and their upgradability sucks because they use crap dated chipsets that lack the coding to use the newer and better cpus even if they are on the same socket, as in they will use an am2+ motherboard and right now we are getting am3+ cpus out.

Sorry forgot to mention I'm from the USA
And i am not entirely opposed to building my own computer a big problem is that I do not know very much about computers so I would not fare to well building it and I would rather have that as a last resort as I don't have much time for a project like that

If it helps, I knew very little about computers, and with a week or two of research and help from this forum, I was able to build my first computer with absolutely no problems. It is *very* doable for a newbie. Just takes some research prior to the build.

:good:

Do you need a hard drive?

If you dont I can get you a great build.
If you do I can still get you a great build but probably wont max skyrim.

Tell me if you have one of these you can use:
Case
Hard drive
and a windows installation disc that has a valid serial code that you can use.

I do not think I have a hard drive that isnt used on a computer at my house and i have a windows vista code I can use but if I were to build my own I would probably go get windows 7 and I do not have a case I could use without getting rid of the computer I have now so no materials really

Ok then thats fine, just hard drives are really expensive, around the 100$ mark and with that extra 100 dollars you can get alot more graphics power, but none the less, I have a build for you :D:

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115073
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130603
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231424
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133094
HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152305
Graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127573

It comes up to about 580 dollars. A bit over the budget but I have a cheaper solution but not sure if it will be as fast as this setup. Will have to check.

Okay yeah that would make my computer cost within the budgetish to make, would it be difficult to make a computer like is there any easy ten steps haha, but how difficult would it be for a first timer on a scale of one to ten
