First of all i got a HDD from an old broken comp that my mom wants data off of im not sure how to go about getting this data off myself rather than spending 90$ for the computer guy to do it. I tried plugging it into my comp but it didnt come up as being plugged in.

And my new build will be used for gaming and was looking at these parts:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.564633

Budget about 1350 these come out to 1370 shipped so im ok with that.
I probably will CF in the future so i need a PSU big enough for that.
Was debating the mATX version of that mobo as well.
And lastly i want to keep the red/black theme but would like to cut costs as much as possible.

Ok did that and in the HDD section i got IDE Master Channel 0 or w/e it says told me a bunch of numbers so i opened the details and it told me capacity 320 GB which is my working HD then it told me on IDE Master Channel 1 i had a bunch of numbers and opened its details and it told me its capacity was 0 GB. I hope that makes sense as idk if i can screenshot my bios :D

Hmm seeing my screen flash different colors all the time leads me to ask why my computer wont output DVI signal from my GeForce 6200 card. The VGA cable wont screw into my card cause either screws are too short or the spots on the cards where you screw em in dont stick out far enough and i keep tapping the wire with my foot so i have to either watch it flash w/e color it picks or wiggle under my desk and push it in a bit farther. This is awfully wordy sorry :/.

Well ideally i wanna spend as much as possible on the GPU seeing its for gaming no? I am alright with the extra $60 for the 5870 and wanna keep it in XFX for the GPU. PSU i dont mind changing if you got a suggestion for that i just grabbed it because ive heard good things about it and it was in a nice combo.
