There really is no one brand that is better than the other when it comes to cooling fans. As long as what ever you get is big enough for your computer you are going to be just fine.
I know this is a few days old - did you get a cooling pad? Also, did you consider finding out why the laptop runs so hot? Is it an older model? Did it always hot or just start recently?
I won a USB powered Belkin model and I love it.. Though every once and a while my laptop will reach 95° C and shut off.. It's because the upgraded graphics creates a lot of heat.
Are you sure? Upgraded by you, or upgraded at the time of the order? That temp is incredibly high, even with interior heat build-up. Have you looked at your CPU fan area to verify it's running and not clogged with lint? May also be your thermal compound isn't transferring heat from the CPU as it should. Just seems very high to me.
