So thats supposed to be the 9 series? Wow, nVidia is REALLY trying to run ATi off the market completely....

The 8800GTX already smothers the 2900, and now they are gonna work on the 9 series?

Man.....such a ruthless battle!

Nvidia is standing over AMD and ATI with a pillow slowly killing them

BUT bet you can't guess the power use, OCZs 2000 watt external PSU might get a work out with 9800 in SLI working it

Wow, if the PSU takes 2000W then it'll be pulling 8.33... amps on a 240v line! I think there'll be a lot of heat created though. Perhaps too much for people with smaller cases.

ohh cummon ATI whats going on?
ATI is working on R650 and R700 which is going to be a multi-core chip
http://news.softpedia.com/news/ATI-039-s-R700-to-support-DirectX-10-1-55321.shtml

As everyone knows ATI are always late, R700 will probably come out sometime on late 2008. And since R700 is going to be multi-core, many games will take the full advantage of R700.

Before R700 comes out, ATI will release R650 (It will be named as HD2950XTX), and probably ATI will not have anything other than R650 to compete with G92.

as it stands the 2900 XTX is nearly identical to the 2900 XT. even the clock speeds are almost the same. i can only hope that they overhaul it before it hits the shelves, as it might otherwise just be a very expensive paper weight.
