Please see my signature and advise on overclocking to roughly an even 3.0ghz (or stable level)

I honestly don't know where to begin, maybe i'm just hesitant. I overclocked it the other day about 10mhz to test it. It rebooted 5 times in a row and then was okay..didnt register the 10mhz change when I checked in control panel>system information though.

Any help appreciated.

do you have a cooler?

looked it up and that board apparently sucks for overclocking, but you have to make sure the pci-e lanes are on certain mhz since changing the fsb to overclock on it will mess with those numbers too.

I have fair cooling..stock cpu fan but an intake tube w/fan and case fan.. yeah i'm not gonna bother.
