OS for new pc

I am building a new computer and am already spending enough money as it is. Do you think linux will be fine? I will only be doing basic stuff and mainly for the fun of building a pc!

Linux will be fine. I would suggest Linux Mint Gnome or KDE, or Ubuntu. Either will do you well.
