Problem with Ati HD6870 drivers

Hello, i recently tried to upgrade catalyst driver to 12.1 without uninstalling old ones (silly me).When install failed i tried to uninstall the drivers using
1.Windows 7 manager
2.Control panel
After each uninstall i restarded my pc ,even turn it off and still the new drivers fail to work... :mad: :mad:
So, any thoughts?

OS:windows 7 64bit
net framework 4.0
mb asus formula iv
cpu amd phenom x6 @ 3,3ghz

Are you uninstalling the device driver or just uninstalling the Catalyst program under Programs/Features in the Control Panel?

with windows 7 manager i unistalled everything 1 by 1,with control panel ati's uninstaller said it unistalls everything ....i even deleted every folder named ati or amd...

Also after uninstalling everything again with sweeper too ,i downloaded the autodetect and install program and it says i have the latest drivers installed o_O
It says 0x1002 -0x6738 pcie as graphics hardware...i guess it should say ati hd 6870...
Btw card works fine at linux i even ran a benchmark
