Problem with CD/DVD Rom Drivers & iTunes

it would appear your CD cannot support iTunes. just another clash between MAC and PC.

As long as you are not actually burning CDs with iTunes, it will work properly even though it throws the error.

I have a client with the same problem. happened on a recent revision.

I removed the subkey named "UpperFilters" That worked great, my CD Rom was functional again.

You're supposed to remove only the LowerFilters.

Actually, you are supposed to remove both upper and lower if they exist.

I used to think that too.

But over the year I've worked at a local computer repair shop I've found you can get your cd/dvd functioning without removing both. Removing just the lower works to fix the driver issues, and keeping the upper allows itunes to continue functioning.

I can't explain it, that's just what I've experienced. ;)
