Hi everyone,
Ok, I'll come right out and admit, I am a noob, but please don't hold that against me. I have a question about a laptop RAM limit. I have 2 GB of RAM on my laptop (an HP) and would like to upgrade to 4 GB. I was told that my specific model of computer cannot but upgraded (by geek squad and hp customer support), that 2 GB is the limit. However, today I removed the cards just to make sure they were not soldered in or something like that. I know they can be replaced but is there really a limit on what the computer can handle? What would happen if I replaced the RAM despite what others have told me?
Thanks for your help!
