What I hate is that so often the Upload and Download speeds are so out of whack. Like mine will be 100Mb/s to DL but .80Mb/s for upload...Whats up with that! I dont understand how there can be such a difference between the two.

I think it has something to do with making sure you're not torrenting? That's like it is at Tech (My line is 600+Mb/.5Mb up)--we're the second fastest in the country, but they cap the upload in the dorms so stuff doesn't get out of control.

What is torrenting? I've heard of it but I have NO IDEA what that means. I think its something to do with downloading stuff, but I may be wrong. I know that a lot of people use it for stuff that is illegal, but I've also heard that can be used for legitimate purposes too.
