SOS : Lost Data

I was burning a CD and instead of burning it as a data cd I made it as a MP3.I lost all the data that I was saving.Is there any way, any software that can help me to get my data back?

what happens when you put the cd back in the disk drive? do you get an error message?

What kind of file did you burn? Also when you burned it you were supposed to have the original file on your computer, unless you deleted it.

They are mostly JPEG pictures, and there is no error message.The CD is opened as a normal CD but when I try to open a photo it says no preview available.
I was formatting my hard drive, and I realized I hadn't burn the CD correctly after I had formated it, silly of me I know

did u try to restore ur computer where in the data was there..?

I formated my hard drive after that, so a system restore doesn't solve my problem.Thnx anyway
