You've got a pretty solid rig there. Are you looking to play games at higher FPS or anything specific like that? I would probably look at a SSD.

In order, I would get a stronger video card. The 5770 is a good one for CF, but I would up it to a 6950 or maybe 2 6950s. Also you might look into a 2500k and P67/Z68 motherboard. I am not sure how much better than yours that is, but it is the single best gaming chip on the planet currently.

I would say that a SSD and 6950 would be your best outcome for $500.

these are both good choices.

You posted a 6970 there, Wolfe. But I agree, that would be a good upgrade. If you want to look into Nvidia, a 570 will be the equivalent to a 6970.

Ya i want higher FPS and im starting to get into video editing which this does fine but when i start opening multiple windows on the different screen it slows down a little.

yes. and CPU wise he should be good. The CPU he is running is a pretty strong CPU and is only 1 generation old. No real need to upgrade it. Could probably overclock it if he wanted to with a quality cooler to get better performance.

anyway, a 7950/6970 will far outperform a CF 5770 setup.

Thats a cool site to be able to compare things side by side and see which is better i think im going to go with the 7950 cause it blows away my 5770 while the other are better but not that much.
