Budget, really makes it tough...as have to know how much you are spending and what you intend to do...if you said gaming then it would be the fastest I7 series Intel chip and latest intel board with tons of DDR3....hmm chip and board alone would be over a grand though. Wait a minute, you said gaming...well see sentence above this one for the BEST!!!!

Actually you could get into like 10k+ if you went with like a quad processor opteron board, or you got one of those 6core xeons 0_O.
