The layout/components of a MB

Hi there,

I'm a bit of a noob!

I wanted to learn more a bit more about the actual layout of my mainboard, like what some of the main components are, but the diagram in the manual doesn't explain much!

I've looked online and i cant find a diagram of my mainboard

Is there any chance you people could help me out a bit?

I'm trying to identify where the southbridge and northbridge are, and the bios chip maybe?

It's a ASUS M4A79T Deluxe

The northbridge is the chip between the CPU and the PCI slots

The southbridge is the chip next to the PCI slots, on your board it is between your PCI slots and your IDE slot, they are both underneatch the heatsink
