So before i start this rant i was wondering how everybody feels if or when you actually shop at the source.
well my was about winding down and a couple of friends decided to head to the mall, so we stop into The Source. All was fine just looking around, looking at the phones, tablets, and the model rockets (a little odd for generel electronics store). About 10 minutes later i head toward the model computers that are left running with the mouse and keyboard set up with it, ok sure lets seewhats on the computer, crappy internet - boring. lets see what files, nothing interesting until: "please do not touch the computers" DA ****! why do you leave anything like this set up in your store if you do not want a customer to try it out? Discrimination! So I look young and with two guys- Oh shit im going to burn the world. Then it hit me The Source is for suckers. Thinking back to the computer, if they were smart why did they not put a simple administration password on the computer? why do they not have a demo-restricted versionof w7 running? why did they not have a auto-demo on the pc without the keyboard and mouse? then i remembered the 6 footvga cord for $44?! i bought one for $12 at Canada Computers?! you are actually joking me right? no it gets better. remembering the people who tried to help me before at the source in the past rwminded me of the time that the only things they know is where general locations on things in the store is? at this point of my night it is bothering me (2 am in the morning for me). i cant sleep its bothering me that much.
The Source and Circuit City are a joke:
-looking for a cellphone go to your providers store, thwy wont read the back of the box
-looking for a tablet go to best buy, they actually set me up with a good tablet that keeps up with me
-looking for a specific cord, computer specialist store they wont rip you off
- computers, build your own
- smalll electronics and other things, hobby store
-tv and sound systems, a tv store or even walmart will do better

Stop letting The Source rip you off, nothing goodis aactually coming from them, just neen screwing customers over since opening

How doyou actually feel bout the Source? Do they actually so anything for you?

I thought Circuit City died years ago.
Looks like a quick Google shows they are a e-store now.
The Source, isn't that a Canadian version?

Anyhow, I do most of my business with Newegg.

The Source is owned by Bell Canada Enterprises. Circuit City went under a couple of years ago and the name is owned by the same company that owns Tiger Direct now Systemax.

Thanks for the heads up. I was not aware of this retailer, I had thought Circuit City closed shop and became TigerDirect online instead. I don't think I would go to best buy as they haven't had the best prices for certain things I look for. I would love to see a newegg location near me though, even if that's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

This thread is full of fail.

1) The Source = Radio Shack, it got renamed in Canada when Circuit City bought it years ago.

2) Go to Best Buy, or Futureshop..you'll get ripped off just as bad or worse for cables and such.

3) Some stores have stupid employees, this applies to any franchise

4) Most computer stores don't allow access to the computers because kids fu** with them, not discriminating, it happens. They aren't a free internet cafe, they're there to be shown when you're interested in one.

When Circuit City purchased InterTAN (hasnt been part of RadioShack since 1989) (had a licensing agreement with Tandy to use the name that ran out in 2010) it got 980 stores that used the name Radio Shack. Radio Shack sued them and Circuit City changed the name to The Source. Circuit City went out of business. Systemax that owns Tiger Direct bought the name Circuit City. The Source stores were bougt out by Bell Canada Enterprises.
