Third party download sites

I do not like the way windows just downloads your stuff. Do you know of any good third party sites from where to get windows and office updates?

No you need to download windows updates from the windows update website.
But you can set it so that the updates don't download automatically, or the updates are downloaded but asks you if you want to install them.

There are some illegal sites that do that, you can download the illegal updates from their database.
but it si best if you use microsoft.com their server is so fast and then their updates are sure, secure, safe, and complete.
its hard to trust any other site for updates.

Sorry I did not know it is illegal but I have a laptop which is not connected to internet so I thought I can download the updates on my computer burn them on CD and install them in the laptop. I guess it is impossible to do so then.

if i were you i wouldn't worry about that, because when a notebook is not connected to the internet then there is no need for updates.
updates make your computer secure. most of them are security tools.
but for example if you play and you want the latest version of directx you have to connect to the internet.
