I didn't think it was a speed difference, i thought it was just a greater DISTANCE that you can expand your wireless signal. Is this not right?

Your internet speed is still the same, if its on B or G regardless. Maybe i am missing something? We used to use B 11Mbps, we jsut got G 108Mbps.

Internet speed is unlikely to be affected, as this is normally the slowest part of the network link.

It will make a big difference when copying files around on a local internal network, e.g. between two wireless machine or a wireless and a wired machine. If you aren't running more than one machine, it's not worth worrying about.
