USB Not Working

My USB ports aren't working. My flash drive and USB fan both work properly but my D-link wireless card dosent work (the light wont even come on) or my mouse, however, the optical light is blinking fast when it's plugged in. This just started happening today. I am tuning windows vista on a Toshiba Satellite. Intje hardware devices category there were no missing drivers exept one which is only labeled as unknown device. I don't see USB root hub on my devices list, though. Shouldn't that be there? Bit if that was missing my flash drive wouldn't work would it? Thanks formreading. Any sugestions welcome!

Try updating the chipset drivers for your laptop. And if there aren't any newer drivers available try uninstalling/reinstalling your current drivers.
