Video Files Now MP4

The video files I have on my PC and cell phone for some reason now show as MP4 audio files. In the past they played as video (movies) OK. What gives? I'm using Vista. Thank you

You must have Itunes installed?

No. Checked this out. The file sizes appear to be video (very large) as you would expect.

mp4 is video, or can be. Are you trying to play it in the same video player and if so which one? Also, have you moved the files between hard drives, etc?
