As I wait for my final parts for my new comp to get here from newegg, Ive been looking at water cooling. Seems pretty neat and efficient and I was thinking of trying it. However after looking at the water cooling parts, Im totally lost.

I just want to liquid cool my CPU. Since I dont know much about it, thought you guys would help :] What exactly do I need to just cool my CPU?

This is the minimum IMO

D-tek fusion V2 or EK supreme cpu block
DDC 10 W pump (D5 or DDC3.2 18 W if you want extra flow for upgrades)
Swiftech MCR240 or swiftech PA 120.2 radiator
8 feet of 7/16 " tubing will be lots
Yate loons are popular cheap and effective radiator fans.
Distilled water with some PT nuke to stop algea growth

Dont buy a cheap kit </3

Good recomendations, you can't go wrong with an Ek or D-tek

Be sure to add a res or a T line for filling

Firsttimebuilder - i wouldnt say its all bad, they have some of the most innovative products and fittings, it just a shame they use alu in their products. And i personally would stay away form black ice rads.

the_beast - i totaly forgot about a res, at least someone is on the ball today

Go with the Apogee GTX! I had that with mine, and for the price it's an excellent waterblock.

Yeh it looks realy nice, but the fusion and supreme beat it, and you dont want to mix the alu in the top of the GTX with other componenets
